Since eyelash extensions are applied to your existing natural lashes away from the base, the growth cycle of the natural lash is not affected; which allows lashes to shed how they normally would. With that being said,

If the lash extensions are being applied correctly there will be no damage to the natural lashes. 

Cleasning your eyelashes is important to not only the longevity of your lashes, but more importantly for health reasons. Cleansing lashes highly recommended to prevent blepharitis.

 Blepharitis is when the hair follicle becomes infected and blocked with sebum, dead skin cells and bacteria, and other debris.

So YES I recommend cleansing lash extensions 

at least 5 times a week. 

Yes. Within 12- 24hrs after lash appointment. 

Come in with clean lashes.
Do not wear any eye or face makeup.  
Do not curl lashes. 

Avoid caffeine. 

Use restroom before lash appointment.
